Tottenham may turn to West Ham striker Andy Carroll to fill the void up front until Harry Kane returns from injury, claims The Sun.
Kane has been ruled out for two months with ankle ligament damage and Mauricio Pochettino is concerned his absence could derail their hopes of finishing in the top four.
Pochettino has previously admitted Tottenham should turn to their academy to replace Kane but it has now emerged the north London outfit are pondering a shock move for Carroll.
Carroll has entered the final six months of his existing West Ham deal and could be available for as little as £2m this month.
The 30-year-old is unlikely to be awarded a new deal by the Hammers unless he stays injury-free for the remainder of the campaign.
