Tottenham expecting a different Manchester United

Ahead of their English Premier League clash on Sunday 13th January, Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has revealed that they will be facing a much-rejuvenated Manchester United.

Spurs ran away 3-0 victors in the reverse fixture last year at Old Trafford with goals coming from Harry Kane and a brace by Lucas Moura. Since the sacking of Jose Mourinho, Manchester United have changed their fortunes and are on a five-game winning streak in all competitions. United will face their biggest test this weekend when for the first time, they will take on a side above them in the table.

Alderweireld noted that they will be facing a different Manchester United, “Of course we know they will be in a better moment than they were before. We know they have very good players and a very good team. Quality, with some special players. So we have to be tough to beat them. But we can be confident and prepare ourselves the best we can to be ready for them.”

The game is slated for a 7:30 PM (EAT) kick off at the Wembley Stadium.
