Waititu slam Mt Kenya MPs over Uhuru remarks

President Kenyatta on Monday took a bold move telling off his critic who claimed he had neglected the Mt Kenya region angrily even referring to them as “Washenzi” something that the ,MPs took offence on.

On Tuesday the Kiambu county governor, Ferdinand Waititu, came out condemning the MPs who are accusing president Kenyatta of neglecting the region in his development plans.

He further continued calling them out for what he termed as lack of manners for speaking through the media yet the president was in Kiambu and waited for them but they never showed up.

“Hawa wote wanapiga kelele hakuna alikuja, they boycotted. Walikataa kuja rais alishinda hapa, na hio ndio wakati wangesema wanataka nini. Ni programme gani wako nazo hapa,” Governor Waititu said.

In addition he said, “Sio lazima upige nduru na uite magazeti ndio uongee na rais… that is wrong and that is lack of manners, that is lack of manners, yes, why don’t you come when the President is here? Hio ni tabia mbaya.”

The Mt Kenya legislators have been critisizing the president for a while now somthing that has angered him.

He further asked them to leave him alone, as he (Kenyatta) was focused on ensuring that every part of the country benefits from the government’s development agenda.
