The host of this year’s African Nations Cup finals will be known after Tuesday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) said in a statement.
Egypt and South Africa are the countries that are key to replace Cameroon and the executive committee members are ser to vote in Dakar on Tuesday with the announcement set to be made on during their subsequent news conference.
The voting was initially set for Wednesday 9 January. The tournament is set for June 15 to July 13 and it will be the first time there will be 24 teams at the AFCON and the CAF.
There are no plans to have presentations from either Egypt or South Africa but both countries have representation on the executive committee.
