Shocker! This is why Obado could be agangster

Celebrities and politicians will always be paranoid for both existent and non existent reasons that will see them parade themselves security whose number might sometime shock you or even raise alarms on who could be after them.

In case study security measures, the police have surprisingly revealed that they recovered eight guns from Migori governor Okoth Obado Nairobi and Migori home. Five were recovered in Lavington while three were recovered in Migori.

The Directorae if Criminal Investigation (DCI) said that the guns would be subjected to ballistic examination and verification to establish whether they were licensed to be own by him. Police also raided the county offices in Migori.

His homes were raided by officers from the Ethics and Anti corruption officers  who were searching for evidence linking him to the proxy companies that were allegedly used to siphon Sh. 2 billion from Migori county.

The Migori Governor is accused of siphoning Sh 2 billion of the county cash through bank accounts registered by his family members.

“The commission received credible information that a few persons well known to be proxies of the governor, registered several companies for the purpose of fraudulent acquisition of public funds through fictitious contracts,” said EACC.

During the raid yesterday a team from Nairobi also camped outside Mr Obado’s office but the county boss was  at his Nairobi home.

The Senior staff at the county administration avoided going into the offices fearing arrests.

“We are here for a major operation…You will see what happens,” said one of the EACC detectives.

The EACC claimed that companies registered to the county chief’s relatives were used to transact with the count. The transactions amounted to Ksh 1,971,179,180 in the last three years.

The governor is currently on EACC radar who intend to charge him for abuse of office and corruption. His assets had been frozen pending investigations.

Obado is also facing murder charges and was released on Sh 5 million bail on October 25 after more than one month stay in custody at Industrial Area Remand Prison in Nairobi. The Governor is accused of murdering of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.
