Kenyans stir the Internet with referendum proposals

On Friday morning Kenyans stirred the internet with some proposals of what the looming referendum should entail.

Whilst Kenyan political leaders advocate for the constitutional changes to have the Kenyan wage bill go low, Kenyans are now expressing their wish in the changes.

Third way Alliance Party leader Dr Ekuru Aukot is currently running a referendum campaign dubbed Punguza Mizigo which aims at reducing Kenya’s economic burden.

Aukot has been moving around the country in his campaign moves in which he is also collecting signatures which have to hit 1 million before the referendum is approved by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) which will then forward it to the parliament.

Tomorrow, Aukot will be heading to Isiolo where he will also collect the signatures on the Mashujaa Day.

Among the proposals Kenyans are now advocating on Social media are the fight for over representation.

They also argue that the continuous redirection of funds to the newly created representation positions will lead to the loss of chances of building economic and social infrastructure that would make us competitive in the global market.

Here are some of the proposals Kenyans are giving.
