Kenyans on twitter have been impressed by the humble act of a watchman who is said to be a guard working around the archives area. A photo of him feeding a disabled individual has attracted alot of praise for his sense of humanity and concern.
A section of Kenyans admitted that they had lost hope in helping some of the children on the streets; giving their reasons that some of them are well off and just take advantage of others for their own benefit. Even with the knowledge that some of the people pretend to be needy to attract sympathy, the watch man still went out of his way to give support in the best way he could.
Stories are told of street children posing threats as some are reported to have attacked passerby’s and even stealing from them after they fail to help them.
Beyond these stories, it is clear that there still exist people unafraid to offer a helping hand to those in need.
“He is stationed around Archives as a guard am told . A reminder that one does not need have to it all to be generous and mindful of other people’s well-being . Humanity should be our race and love our religion. Ubarikiwe sana .”
Below are some of the reactions from Kenyans
I personally stopped giving the kid money the moment I realised he has a nice phone and was communicating with someone in the evening to come and pick him.

Isn’t it funny how people have moved the discussion from the guard’s gesture to the boy and whoever brings him there?
