As some Kenyans are left confused by recent revelations by Joseph Irungu’s parents, some think that they have seen the light. There is more to this story they say and clearly the loopholes and missing details have raised a lot of questions and concerns. Parents would stand by their children in all times no matter what and some claim that Irungu’s parents did exactly that.. “defended their child”. The parents belief that Joseph Irungu was not involved in the crime.. his father stated that he had asked Irungu severally and he told him he never did it and was not involved in the murder. They also revealed that they want justice to be served and admitted that they understand the pain that Monica Kimani’s parents are going through.
Having in mind that Joseph Irungu is said to be a trained security personnel, some Kenyans feel that certain details do not add up and the question is; was all this premeditated, could Joseph Irungu be innocent? Could someone be using Joseph Irungu as a scapegoat? Well these are the questions that emerge.

Irungu’s parents on a live interview yesterday, said that Joseph Irungu told them he would not eat anyone’s food except from his parents or his fiancee Maribe. Probably because he feared for his life. The disputing statements and unanswered questions have led Kenyans to question the narrative of Irungu being involved in the murder case of Monica Kimani. After his arrest, reports revealed that the investigators believed they had a tight case on Joseph Irungu.
