As today marks day 2 of screening of the famous lesbian movie that has been giving many sleepless nights, Kenya Film and Classification Board CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua has woken up at it. Kenyans had earlier advised that Mutua should acknowledge we are living in different times. On the contrary, Mutua has proven to be firm and his views still remain as they were before.
Mutua this morning has criticized the film saying that the big agenda is to corrupt our culture and moral values.
The debate on “RAFIKI” is not about freedom. It’s about our essential values. The hullabaloo about artistic freedom is a decoy. The big agenda is to corrupt our culture and moral values, and to kill the institution of family

In a recent argument, by a concerned Kenya, the message implies that there a need to come into terms with the reality since people within our community are struggling in a case where they are not accepted because of their sexual orientation.
Sexuality is a critical issue in our society. I have seen people struggle upto the point of becoming suicidal because society doesn’t accept you if you are gay. Sometimes it is not a choice, it is just who you are #Rafiki

Previously, the KFCB Boss had faulted the film saying that the values family and future of Kenya is at stake
The debate about homosexuality is bigger than the movie RAFIKI. It’s about our values, family and the future of Kenya. There will be no future unless we start downloading kids from the internet. Family is derived from a union btn two people of the opposite gender.@KimaniNjogu
