During yesterday’s demonstrations, women were on the front line as they marched on the streets and carried posters around demanding for the release of Governor Okoth Obado who was arraigned today over murder allegations.
Some women have criticized the female protesters saying that they should be ashamed to be part of the demonstrations.
I saw a woman in the fore front talking about “Let Governor Obado go so he can continue his work as a governor. ” This is the least I expected from a woman, because if it were her daughter she wouldn’t say such. Woman are you serious? A murder case is surrounding this GUY. hmph!

These inconsiderate and loose statement raised a lot of debate.
“WHY MOURN A WOMAN WHO DIED IN PROSTITUTION? “
These are the words a Woman is carrying around to defend Governor Obado Okoth. This is Insanity. Are we this Low Migori County? ? pic.twitter.com/bXjclfpjnM

In response to this a twitter user mentioned that the reason behind the demonstrations is that the crowd was doing it because of 500 shillings. Could they have been paid? If so who is behind all this? These are the questions that continue to arise amid the Sharon Otieno’s murder case. Sources also reveal that the protesters were present during the first hearing of the case at Milimani High Court.
