The Ethic and anti Corruption commission raided the hom of former Evans Kidero in Muthaiga and Westlands office citing that they were looking for documents.
According to Kidero, the detectives arrived at his home at 6am with a search warrant despite no evidence linking him to corruption.
They then whisked him away to his Eldama Park offices in Westlands still in search of the alleged documents.
Kidero noted that the EACC officials were looking for evidence to implicate him after being recently charged with claims of abuse of office.
His son was also arrested in August and locked up at the Gigiri Police Station for allegedly selling adulterated fuel.
This happens to be the second time the former county chief is being arrested.
Here are some online reactions following his arrest.
Evans Kidero was Uhuru’s only opposition ally for a while. Uhuru used Kidero to try to undermine Raila Odinga.
All of a sudden, Uhuru wants to use Kidero as an example in the fake war against corruption.
As Evans Kidero is arrested again, he must remember that he made the bed.

The arrest of Evans Kidero won’t divert our attention off this conspiracy to impose 8% VAT tax on fuel by the Executive and the corrupt Parliamentarians. This #FinanceBill2018 is a white elephant in the room And must be resisted #TaxVoteKe we demand 0% VAT tax on fuel period!
