New Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has told fans what they can expect from first summer signing Jorginho.
A busy Saturday saw the Blues confirm the appointment of Sarri, a day after sacking Antonio Conte, before announcing the midfielder’s arrival in a deal worth £57 million hours later.
Sarri and Jorginho spent three seasons together at Napoli, finishing second twice and third once, and could be joined by former team-mate Gonzalo Higuain with Chelsea set to open talks with the Juventus striker.
Speaking about his reunion with Jorginho, Sarri said: “Jorginho is not a physical player, he is a technical player.
“The most important quality is that he is very quick in the mind. So he has the ability to move the ball very quickly.
He added: “I think at Naples I was very lucky to find many players very adapted to my way of football. Very strong as players, but very strong from a human point of view.
“So I think I was lucky to transport my way of football, my idea of football on the pitch.”
