Mourinho Sales Another first team Star

Netherlands international Daley Blind has ended his four-season stay at Manchester United and returned to former club Ajax for a fee potentially rising to €20.5million.

Blind initially joined United from Ajax back in 2014, but struggled to hold down a position at Old Trafford, being deployed at left-back, centre-back and even as a defensive midfielder.

Louis Van Gaal made Blind one of his first signings as United boss after the versatile Dutchman’s impressive displays at the 2014 World Cup.

The 28-year-old went on to make 141 United appearances in his four years with the club, scoring six goals.

Blind won four trophies with Manchester United, including one FA Cup, one Community Shield, one UEFA Europa League and a League Cup.

However, after making just 17 appearances in all competitions last season, Blind now returns to Amsterdam.

“It goes without question that everyone at the club wishes him well for the future,” United wrote on their official website.
