Derby closing in on Liverpool striker

Derby County are closing on a season long loan deal for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson. Stoke, Leeds, Swansea and Norwich City had all made efforts to take the 21-year-old who scored seven goals on loan at Hull City towards the end of last season.

The Wales international, who signed a new long-term contract at Anfield last week, is close to finalising terms after talks with Frank Lampard and Liverpool anticipate the deal to go through in the next 48 hours. Liverpool want Wilson to have a guaranteed amount of game time and up to 12 Championship clubs enquired as well as Celtic.
