Super Eagles Suppoters Club boss fears early exit of the team

The leader of Nigeria Eagles Supporters Club, Vincent Okumagba, says he isn’t sure the Super Eagles will have the capacity to make it from the group stage considering the way they played against Croatia in their opening Group D game.

“As of now, I don’t even know if the team can still qualify from the group. We don’t have any reason for losing that game to Croatia. Now, people are rating Iceland higher than Croatia. We have registered our displeasure to the players and their handlers. I personally flew about 30 of our members to the match venue against Croatia. All that money is wasted. I didn’t envisage that Croatia would beat us in that match.

“Now, more of our members have come in and I hope the players will leave up to their responsibility in Friday match against Iceland. But it will be very bad if we crash out at the group stage considering the effort Nigerians put into the World Cup campaign. But I am still hopeful we will qualify.

“With more of our supporters on the ground now, the Eagles will not lack support on Friday. We are ready to do our part. I hope the players won’t disappoint Nigerians,” Okumagba stated.
