Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been tipped to become the first African team to reach the semifinal stage of the FIFA World Cup championship. A pig named ‘Mystic Marcus’, which was said to have predicted Donald Trump victory correctly in the United States of America’ elections two years back picked the three-time African champions alongside Belgium, Uruguay and Argentina as the four teams to progress to that stage of the championship.
The psychic pig according to Daily Mail has an unwavering record of predicting sports results correctly as reported by its owner, Juliette Stevens. The 8-year-old Marcus predicted Brexit before it happened and also that Donald Trump would win the US presidential election. It is however hoping to maintain its unbroken record for this summer’s World Cup, as it was said to have predicted the winner of the 2014 World Cup and the Wimbledon tennis finals by picking apples.
Now Mystic Marcus is putting his skills to the test once more by forecasting the semi-finalists for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
