Activist Boniface Mwangi and Raila Junior attacked each other on Twitter over the candidature of Editar Ochieng who will run for the Kibra seat on Ukweli Party.
Mr Mwangi declared his support for Editar listing some of her achievements among them being a feminist and activist.
I am supporting @oeditar for MP Kibra.
1. Proud feminist and activist
2. Founder of Kibra young women network
3. In 2018 was nominated as the upcoming human rights defender of the year by @DefendersKE
4. Editar has mentored and trained more than 1000 young people in Kibera. pic.twitter.com/ruX74sPQSh— #FreeStellaNyanzi (@bonifacemwangi) September 2, 2019
Raila Junior, however, rubbished Mr Mwangi’s endorsement saying the aspirant was wasting her time.
I honestly feel there will be more spoilt votes than votes for her @bonifacemwangi if @SportPesa were still on I’d make that bet. Why would someone waste their time and money like this? https://t.co/w1BsbcWHLe

Mr Mwangi did not take Mr Odinga’s sentiment’s lying down.
In a harsh rejoinder, the controversial activist reminded Junior that his father Raila Odinga has run for presidential seat unsuccessfully since 1997.
Your father @RailaOdinga has been running for President since 1997. 22 year later he is still running but has never been sworn as president. @Railajunior let @oeditar run for MP Kibra in peace. Bet on your dad becoming president in 2022 and let Editar Ochieng be. https://t.co/r6Xpk6JwaR pic.twitter.com/iczXq9V3d6

The activist asked Raila Junior to let the aspirant run for the seat which was declared vacant after the death of Ken Okoth in peace.
Mwangi told him to bet on his dad becoming president in 2022.
The vacant Kibra seat continues to attract candidates from both major and small parties.
On Monday, Jubilee announced Former Harambee Stars player McDonald Mariga as its candidate for the race.
ODM said it will conduct its party nominations on Saturday after postponing it over lack of security for the function as they were focused on the census.
ANC announced Eliud Owalo as its candidate.
