James Garner, an academy star and midfielder came in for United defender, Luke Shaw after he suffered a knock and he did not fail to impress scoring his first goal against Perth again after a fault for failing to clear their lines firing the ball straight to Garner who easily riffled past Velaphi from 20 yards.
Pogba to Marcus Rashford was Man Utd’s most frequent assister to goalscorer combination in the league under Ole Gunnar Solskjær last season and the chemistry between the two could be back in action.

The United faced a tough test in their first pre-season game, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men up against A-League champions Perth Glory as the new signings Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James looked to try getting used to life at the club with the latter swimming through the opponent’s defence with a lot of ease.
While the manager facing a number of issues off the field least of all Paul Pogba’s future United fans at least were able to enjoy some drama on the pitch as another long campaign awaits them in a month’s time.
