In case you have forgotten, Mwai Kibaki introduced free Primary Education, constructed the Thika Superhighway and started rural electrification; these projects still live on more than seven years since he left power. Is Kibaki the most underrated President in history?
Among all the leaders who have occupied State House, Kibaki is the poorest. Kibaki is a human being and he had his flaws but looking at him from the positive side, he is the President who performed 10 times better than all the others combined.
Mwai Kibaki has to be the most underrated Kenyan president. He has his shortcomings but that was one man who had great visions and accomplished.
He did his part, he left and he has a legacy that history books will record. Compared to Kenyatta and Moi, Kibaki was a gem.

It is part of these reasons that Kenyans have flooded social media to shower him with praises, telling the former President that they didn’t know he was that good.
Thank you President Mwai Kibaki. I just realized we dont thank this mzee enough. Asante sana mzee. Someone give him my gratitude wherever he is.

While Kibaki was surrounded by wise men like John Michuki, who had the interests of the country at heart, his successor Uhuru Kenyatta has been recycling people like Eric Kiraithe who do not even understand English in the first place.
Kibaki left a great legacy in Kenya, the best president we ever had as a country.
Uhuru will leave with the worst legacy of all the presidents we have ever had.— Makueni Snuka (@fcarstone) May 17, 2019
What has Uhuru done for this country? Well, he talks so much about the SGR which has ended in Naivasha. What is in Naivasha again? His family land. The SGR was constructed at a cost of 1 billion per kilometre
to go to Kenyatta’s farm. But Uhuru will be remembered more for the runaway corruption in the government.
Moi introduced Maziwa ya Nyayo to keep us in school & under the Kenya School Education Scheme, we had free exercise books, text books and pens… Kibaki introduced Free Primary Education… If I were Uhuru, I would do something unique; invest in modern facilities in Schools.

The government recalled retired KRA Commissioner General John Njiraini to fix the corruption scandals that have rocked the authority, and now Kenyans are demanding that Kibaki should be recalled to fix the country that is already in ICU.
Coming in:
The govnt has recalled KRA Commissioner General John Njiraini from retirement to manage the corruption crisis rocking the Institution. I think the government should also recall President Kibaki from retirement to restore normalcy in this country.— Duncan Makori π°πͺ (@EngnrDan) May 16, 2019
It is evident that these Jubilee boys have no clue about how to run the country and deserve a wise man to lead this boat before it capsizes in the high seas of corruption and debts.
Imagine Uhuru has asked for a 3rd Eurobond in 5 years, and we don’t see where the money is going to. The economy is worse than it was 10 years ago.
Since we recalled John Njiraini to restore normalcy at KRA, perhaps we should also recall Mwai Kibaki from retirement to restore normalcy in Kenya!

But maybe, just maybe it is a little too late and Kenyans must carry their own cross.
You will not realise the importance of a person when is around you until he/she walks away.
That is what Kenyan feel about kibaki.— Peter π°πͺβ (@Richii_san) May 17, 2019
