DCI Sleuths Graduate after Intense Training With FBI

Following the deadly Dusit D2 Attack in January where some 21 people were killed in the hands of merciless tourists, the Directorate of  Criminal Investigations in partnership with the FBI has completed a 10-week course on counter-terrorism.

The intense training which was organized by the American Embassy has been ongoing and graduands had their day Friday, as US Ambassador to Kenya Mr Kyle McCarter.

The training, which is much needed considering the recent spate of attacks and counter-attacks in the country puts the officers in a better capacity to share critical intelligence that not only minimizes the damage by terrorists but also thwarts it all together.

In January, top detective George Kinoti had to personally appear at Dusit complex where the attack happened.

In 2013, poor coordination between security officers handling a terrorist situation in Westgate Mall got murky as officers shot at each other.

The detective George Kinoti would present himself in the complex where he actively coordinated different police departments containing the terrorists.
