William Ruto is a man on a mission. His mission is clear; to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta as the next President of Kenya. But even though Ruto knew the journey was not going to be easy, he never imagined the obstacles he would meet on the way.
On Sunday, during the debate on the #SomaliaVSKenya border dispute, most DP Ruto haters had a field day mocking him with the phrase ‘Ruto will never be president.’
In fact controversial Prof. Makau Mutua has advised the Kalenjin community to put their eggs in another candidate because supporting Ruto amounts to losing.
I beseech the Kalenjin Nation to wake up and smell the black coffee. DP @WilliamsRuto is now politically “finished.” Look elsewhere for 2022. Putting your eggs in the Hustler’s basket is a looser — a fool’s errand @kipmurkomen @HonAdenDuale @ahmednasirlaw @DonaldBKipkorir

Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen responded to Makau by telling him that Ruto is not just a Kalenjin leader but has the whole country on his back.
“Dr.William Ruto is not our candidate he is a project of Kenyans. Utazoea tu” Murkomen said on his official Twitter handle.
And so we ask, is the whole country behind Ruto or just Kalenjins?
