Solskjaer was speaking after he oversaw another win away to Fulham where Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial scored the three goals against Fulham at the Craven Cottage. The win saw Man United return to top four for the first time since August 2018.
“I’ve always looked further ahead. I’ve followed United since I signed for them as a player. Of course I look at the squad, players, who can produce and perform now, next year and in two years? Even here you’ve got players who can perform for five, six, seven, eight, nine years because it’s such a young squad, an exciting squad. At the moment I’m just concentrating on getting us up the table, we’re fourth, let’s hope we can stay there and go higher.” Solskjaer said.
Analysts have pointed out the fact that the Norwegian has released Pogba and allowed him to play freely but the caretaker manager said the midfielder is just playing to his potential.
The Champions League duty against PSG will come before a league clash against arch-rivals Liverpool.
