Reason why Rashford missed Fulham clash

Marcus Rashford played no part as Manchester United cruised to a comfortable 3-0 away win against Fulham on Saturday to move into the top four for the first time since the opening day of the season.

It has now emerged that the England international was rested as a precautionary measure with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer telling MUTV.

“There are a couple of niggles, Rashford got a dead leg against Leicester. We don’t want to risk him.”

Rashford is, however, expected to be back in contention when United face Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night in the first leg of the Champions League last-16.
