Why Ruto Wants Raila to Take up Africa Union Job; How Ruto Summoned Mt Kenya Leaders & Directed Them to Respect Gachagua & How Sh100 Handout Saved Collins From Accident That Killed Kiptum

Good morning,

Happy Valentines day!

President William Ruto ‘s assent to the National Government Constituency Development Fund (Amendment) Act, 2023, reflects a commitment to upholding constitutional principles and ensuring transparent, accountable governance.

The removal of MPs from direct involvement in fund management aligns with judicial rulings affirming the separation of powers and underscores the need to safeguard against potential abuse of authority.

By restricting MPs to executing national government projects, the law aims to prevent conflicts of interest and promote equitable distribution of resources.

However, the amendment isn’t without its challenges. MPs, accustomed to wielding influence over fund allocation, now face limitations on their traditional roles.

Yet, this paradigm shift presents an opportunity for them to focus on legislative duties rather than administrative tasks.

While some MPs express frustration over delayed disbursements, the restructuring of fund allocation mechanisms promises fairer distribution and targeted development initiatives.

Ultimately, this legislative overhaul signifies a step towards enhanced governance, accountability, and effective service delivery at the grassroots level.
