Joy as Lusaka donates beds, mattresses to county hospital, boosts service delivery

The recently upgraded Bulondo Health Centre in West Sang’alo Ward, Kanduyi constituency has received an assortment of hospital equipment to boost services in its male ward.

Governor Kenneth Lusaka recently presented a certificate for the upgrade of Bulondo dispensary to a Health centre to boost healthcare.

Speaking after commissioning of the male ward at the facility, Lusaka said his Administration is set to improve the centre’s infrastructure to cut traveling expenses for patients who seek specialised treatment.

The department of Heath through the Governor delivered 15 hospital beds, 15 mattresses, 30 branded bedsheets, 15 branded blankets and 15 branded bedcovers to boost the facility’s ability to attend to patients.

Speaking after receiving the equipment, the county health and sanitation director Dr. Caleb Watta lauded the governor for championing healthcare for his people.

“We are grateful for this equipment. They will go a long way in helping out people. I encourage our people to use this facility to reduce the expenses of seeking health services in private facilities,” said Watta.

West Sang’alo ward MCA Godfrey Mukhwana alias Seddy lauded Governor Lusaka as a development conscious leader.

“Lusaka has upgraded this facility to a health centre, commissioned a male ward and now he has brought in beds to cater for our male patients, this is a positive indicator that we are on aright trajectory,” he said.

Present was the county nurse Veronicah Wanyonyi and the health centre board of management.
