It is on a beautiful Thursday morning and the politics surrounding President William Ruto’s appointment of over 5o CASs seems to have made its way back into the political arena.

This was after the appointment was quashed by the courts early this year after being termed unconstitutional.

However, a bill that has been taken to  Parliament confirms that President William Ruto’s administration is determined to have the CAS position anchored in the law.

According to reports, Ruto has planned to return the posts, claiming that the CASs will represent a CS at any meeting directed by the president or CS.

A former Kenya Commercial Bank director Leonard Mwithiga has been arrested and charged in Connecticut, US for planning the murder of his wife to bring other family members back home.

Dr Mwithiga was on Tuesday charged in court with criminal attempt and intimidation of a witness, conspiracy to commit murder, and criminal attempt, murder with special circumstances.

Omtatah Announces Next Move as Ruto Seeks to Entrench CAS Positions in Law Despite Court’s Order

Five months after the high court termed Ruto’s Chief Administrative Secretary ( CAS) positions unconstitutional, it seems the head of state is seeking to entrench them into law as per the latest reports.

However as relayed by a report covered on Thursday’s People Daily publication, Busia senator Okiya Omtatah has finally announced a plan to tame Ruto’s move.
