Kenya Power Explains Blackout During Presidential Debate; Elite Squad Takes Control of Three Venezuelans’ Case & Popular Gov Aspirant’ Car Pelted With Stones

Good morning,

The much-hyped and anticipated debate last night turned into a one-man show after Azimio-One Kenya Presidential candidate Raila Odinga snubbed it giving space and time to his rival, Deputy President William Ruto, to sell his agenda.

During the first part of the presidential debate; which was for candidates who scored below five per cent in the last three opinion polls, George Wajackoyah of the Roots party also snubbed the debate leaving David Mwaure to enjoy the limelight.

Ruto who decide to show up for the debate decided to sell his agenda to Kenyans notably his 3-point plan to manage Kenya’s Ksh 8 trillion debt.

He was tasked with responding to questions on the judiciary, debt, security, cost of living, and governance.

However, whether by a choreographed plan or just by pure coincidence Kenyans seemed rather much pleased with the debate moderators; Citizen TV’s Yvonne Okwara and Spice FM’s Eric Latiff than the main participant, deputy president William Ruto.

A section of Kenyans commended Okwara and Eric for doing a great job in the moderation of the debate and displaying excellent skills in journalism.

Some netizens, who singled out Okwara, said that she was asking the Deputy President the right questions without biases or favouritism.

How would you rate yesterday’s performance of the Presidential debate by DP Ruto and the second part debate moderators?
