Trouble Looms For Ruto-allies as Kalenjin Leaders Make Stern Declaration

A section of leaders from the Rift Valley region have made a stern declaration that is set to victimize leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto.

In Video footage uploaded by MKN news on Saturday, the leaders led by Tiaty MP William Kamket called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to crack the whip on the Tanga Tanga leaders saying they had hindered development projects across the country through their politicking.

“When we get back to Parliament, I want to tell the president not be shaken because we are solidly behind him.

“Next week when we will resume parliament I will take the chairmanship of a particular committee. For those who have been abusing the President, their time is up and they are going to be swept away.

“From today we are giving President Uhuru the permission to clean the house and we urge him not to fear because we are solidly behind him,” said Kamket.

Kamket accused the Tanga Tanga leaders of sabotaging Uhuru’s development agenda and called on the need to have them ousted for the smooth running of the government.

The Kanu MP also announced a raft of changes that will take effect at both the Senate and National Assemblies.

“We are going to change the business committee, we are going to change the government whip, Chairman of committees are going home, majority leader home, both in the National and Senate Assemblies,” he added.

The MP, who is an ardent supporter of Senator Gideon Moi, also campaigned for the BBI course saying the journey to change the constitution was unstoppable.

He told off the Tanga Tanga leaders from planning to attend the scheduled BBI rallies saying they intend to scuttle the initiative plans.

He urged the Rift Valley community to avoid going to the opposition by endorsing DP William Ruto for the presidency.

“My Kalenjin community starting here from Pokot, I want to ask you today, are you going to accept going to the opposition as you gaze? Are you ready for the opposition? You have to watch out.” said the MP.

Kameket also campaigned for the KANU chairman for the presidency saying he had what it takes to lead the country.

He said that the political debt is not owed to DP Ruto but the whole of the Rift Valley region.
