The Kenya National Team Harambee Stars has been drawn against neighbors Uganda in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. Harambee Stars will fight it out against the Cranes and two others for a sport at the largest showpiece event in world football.
The other teams in Group E are Mali and Rwanda. Kenya has never qualified for the World Cup and as is Uganda and Rwanda. Francis Kimanzis men started off their 2021 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifying campaigns with two 1-1 draws away to Egypt and the second one at home to Togo.
However, Harambee Stars could not feature in the qualifiers after failing to honor a FIFA directive asking the Football Kenya Federation to pay former coach Adel Ameouche 108 Million shillings for wrongful dismissal in 2014.
