German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly plotting a move for Manchester City winger Leroy Sane with the speedster close to returning to action after a lengthy layoff.
Bayern were interested in the former Schalke 04 man in the summer but a ruptured ACL in pre-season ended the pursuit as the winger had to undergo surgery to repair his knee.
He has stepped his recovery and is expected back in action in February. A move that will be a massive boost for Pep Guardiola as it gives him more options up front.
He may however not be with the citizens if reports from Germany are anything to go by. According to German media, the Bavarians have revived their interest in the German international.
Bayern lost Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery in the summer and wanted to sign the Man City star as part of their rebuilding after losing the pair that had been with the side for a decade.
Sane is said to have been interested in a move in the summer and it remains to be seen whether a January move will materialize considering it’s not clear as to whether he will be in a position to pick his good form quick enough.
