Man United Dealt a Huge Transfer Blow

Manchester United target, Donny van de Beek has reiterated that he will not be leaving the club this January insisting that he wants to end the season with Ajax Amsterdam.

Several European clubs have been tracking the central midfielder after another exemplary campaign with Ajax. United, Real Madrid, and Juventus are some of the clubs interested in signing the 22-year old Ajax Academy product.

United’s midfield in particular is in dire need of reinforcement this January.  Van de Beek, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, James Maddison, and Jack Grealish are some of the midfielders linked with moves to the club.

The Dutchman has now ruled himself out of any move to Old Trafford this January insisting that he wants to remain at the Amsterdam Arena for at least the next six months. This deals United’s efforts of bringing him to Old Trafford a major blow.

He hinted that he is unlikely to leave the club in the summer either.

“I can’t or don’t want to do anything with it anyway [the speculation]. I have said before that I will play at Ajax this season. Maybe next season too,” he said.

Meanwhile United is reportedly closing on Portugal and Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes. The 26-year old was a United target in the summer but a move failed to materialize and he ended remaining in Portugal.
