AFC Leopards Winger Ditches Club

AFC Leopards winger Brian Marita has confirmed that he has parted ways with the Kenyan Premier League giants after the expiry of his contract.

The speedy winger joined Ingwe in December 2017 from Western Stima and went on to cement his place in the Leopards starting team chipping in with a few goals and setting up others for his teammates.

His role in the team however reduced this season where he majorly featured as a sub or sometimes was left out of the matchday squad entirely owing to stiff competition for places in the team.

With Leopards cash-strapped, the winger has opted against penning a new deal and has now confirmed that he is leaving the KPL side for a new change that he has not revealed. He went on to wish the club and his former teammates well in their endeavors.

“To everyone at AFC Leopards SC. My teammates, to the staff and to all you fans. Thank you for your support throughout the time we’ve been together. God bless you. I wish you the best of luck for the future. Looking forward to a new challenge,” he said in a statement.

He becomes the fifth player to ditch Ingwe in the last few weeks after Vincent Habamahoro, Tresor Ndikumana, Soter Kayumba, and Dennis Sikhayi.
