Artiste Lights up Twitter With Wajinga Nyinyi Part 2

The onslaught against politicians running the country down is far from over after one King Kaka jolted the nation with his wakeup call hit Wajinga Nyinyi.

The poetic piece was received with mixed reactions from citizens and the political elite, with some of the individuals mentioned by the musician threatening legal action for defamation.

Just when the Wajinga Nyinyi fever had started cooling down, poet Tear Drops Saturday reignited the fire by releasing a continuation of King Kaka’s piece.

In the five and a half minutes track, the poet, famous for his appearances on Churchill Show, begins by stating that he is not afraid to face the music, referring to politicians threatening artistes for speaking the hard truth.

Just like King Kaka, Tear Drops openly expresses his disappointment at Kenya’s “Uhuru”, wondering what became of the millions of jobs the government promised during the campaign period.

He also mentions Starehe MP Charles Kanyi, also known as Jaguar, who before joining politics was part of the creative battalion speaking out against the hypocrisy of leaders in the Kenyan society.

The Judiciary is not spared this time around, as the artiste chides the system over the fact that young girls continue dying in the hands of politicians, yet no conviction has been made since the days of one Mercy Keino.

He further reprimands the government for not promoting local economic activities, the state of insecurity, tribalism, and land grabbing in the country.

Poor transport infrastructure and a huge public debt also feature within the track which ends with the proclamation that “you may kill the king, but not the prophesy.”
