Chelsea Targeting Trio

Chelsea are reportedly tracking RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner Lyon’s Moussa Dembele and Bayern Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey as Frank Lampard looks to beef up his squad ahead of the second leg.

The Blues have registered mixed results so far this campaign and although they sit in the fourth position in the English Premier League, their recent run has been poor as they have lost four of their last five matches highlighting the need for reinforcements.

Chelsea was recently handed a major boost when CAS lifted their transfer embargo allowing them to sign players during the January transfer window.

Lampard has identified attack as the main area of concern and according to media reports, he has identified the trio as players capable of easing his team’s scoring problems. Warner is also on Liverpool and Manchester United and should he Blues manage to convince him to move to Stamford Bridge, it will prove to be a transfer coup.

Dembele too has attracted interest from other clubs in Europe. Tottenham, Everton and Manchester United are also trailing the former Fulham and Celtic man. The French international is said to be interested in returning to English football and a move Chelsea will definitely be attractive. Bailey too is said to be interested in moving to England.
