West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo on Tuesday bashed senators over attacking him in regards to his absentee deputy governor.

It was reported that Lonyangapuo was fed up with the question in regards to his missing deputy Nicholas Atudonyang.

The West Pokot governor stated that lawmakers who constantly inquired of the whereabouts of Wesley had the means to go and look for him.

The tough talking Lonyangapuo reiterated that parliament had enough funding to take a trip to the moon.

“Parliament is paid to even go to the moon! Please travel to Texas if you want to fish him out” remarked the governor.

The County boss further highlighted that it was not his work to bring back the missing leader.

“Do you want me to climb a tree in West Pokot and shout come or never come back!” exclaimed the enraged Lonyangapuo.

Lonyangapuo who nicknamed the ‘funniest’ governor, was in 2018 quizzed by the EACC over the claims that Nicholas worked full time in the US while he still continued to earn full pay as the deputy of the region.

In March 2019, the West Pokot governor defended himself and his junior when he appeared before the Senate’s Public Accounts and Investments Committee stating that the absence of the politician was a good thing.

He noted that Nicholas travelled in and out of the county due to having to attend to his sick child.

The West Pokot Head added that his ventures outside the country had helped mobilise medical aids that improved the county.

“He has been coming on and off. He is a good ambassador of the county because he brings medical support.”

“Further, we have not had a problem in the county because of his absence.” explained Lonyangapuo.
