Kariobangi Sharks dominance over AFC Leopards continued with a barren draw as the two sides met at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani on Sunday.

Sharks are yet to lose league match to AFC Leopards since they were promoted to the Kenyan Premier League three seasons ago and they never looked like ending that run against Cassa Mbungo’s side.

Ingwe started all their main attacking threats including the livewire Paul Were, Whyvonne Isuza, and John Makwatta but were struggling to make clearcut chances all through the match. Paul Were’s pace was the best they could offer but the Harambee Stars winger was having an off day in front of goal.

William Muluhya’s side should have opened the scoring in the 35th minute but Erick Kapiato failed to find the target with a free header from a Patilla Omotto lobbed pass. Sharks were pilling the pressure and it took a brilliant one-handed save from Leopards goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan to keep out a William Masaba goalbound shot from inside the box.

Cassa Mbungo reacted by bringing on Hansel Ochieng for the ineffective Ismail Diarra in the first minute of the second half and Leopards were more comfortable in possession in the second period. Both teams could however not find the breakthrough and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
