It is traumatizing to have a relative lost with no knowledge of their whereabouts. However, the experience is tougher when the lost person is a child. While fathers can control their feelings when their children go missing, mothers cannot, they become restless and crazy for some time.
Taking to social media, mothers narrated the experiences they had with missing children cases. While some said they could not find tears, others talked about crazy things they did after realizing that their children had gone missing.

Catherine Riungu; One day my daughter failed to turn up after school bus hours. I was in town kwa jam when house helper called. I almost left the car on the road. We called the school. She had boarded the bus, the bus was still doing rounds dropping, dere wasn’t picking, school advised we wait for the bus to return. Got home to find a crowd of neighbours anxiously waiting. Then we saw the kagirl walking towards us like nothing had happened. Apparently she fell asleep, wasnt woken up kwa stage akapitishwa. From that day school rules of dropping changed, crew expected to know which kids drops where with a rollcall. My hselp must be at the stage to pick her. Well, she was much younger then, in class 4, now in class 8
Nyamalo Lekina My son alifuta ngamia wen he was 3 waah akaenda place hajui ww I cried for 16 hours straight while I was stl looking for him until watoi waneiba wakampta n wen he saw me he was like mum nataka sweet n cakie he did even miss me alikuwa anacheza thank God a lady saw him n took him in so he did slp outside hahaha the funny part all my family members had gathered within 2 hours
