Ugandan Envoy to Kenya has been hospitalized after a horrible accident along the Malaba-Bungoma Road.
The envoy, Ms Phoebe Otaala was rushed to a nearby hospital after her car hit a vehicle in front of her, sending the car into a skid.
Reports indicate that the envoy was taken to a nearby hospital after complaining of some injuries.
This comes two months after four African envoys were involved in an accident along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway while from a function at the Maanzoni Lodge.
The envoys were Zambia’s ambassador to Kenya Ms Brenda Mudenda, Botswana’s ambassador to Kenya Duke Lephoko, Joseph Guttu, Zambian high Commissioner to Kenya and Mr Kama Wasa Kaluwe (a Zambian diplomat).
During the accident, Mr Guttu had a fractured right leg and a bruised left hand; Mr Kaluwe also fractured his right leg and abdomen injuries, Mr Lephoko had slight injuries on the left leg above the knee while Ms Mudenda complained of abdominal and chest pains.
Mudenda would later succumb to her injuries at the Nairobi Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit section after she developed acute internal bleeding complications.
