The discord between Waititu and section of Kieleweke MCAs in Kiambu is what led to his arrest over misappropriation of County resources which is a criminal offense.
Waititu hasn’t been comfortable with a section of County leaders who are against his style of leadership and those who are allied to the deputy governor James Nyoro.

“Waititu has a wrong way to go as Kieleweke squad has recruited a good number of MCAs in every County to fight the DP presidential ambition,” he said.
He adds that the MCAs are receiving fundings from prominent individuals noting that the recent arrest of Witethie MCA was also planned.
The MCA was accused of branding his vehicles using the DP photo implying that he is the head of the against the constitution.

According to EACC CEO Twalib Mbarak, the commission is investigating tender awards valued at Sh588 million suspected to have been awarded to companies associated with Waititu and members of his immediate family.
Apart from the governor’s Runda and Garden estates, the anti-graft officials also raided the Nairobi residence of his daughter, Nduta, and the homes of 10 other county officials.
The commission, the CEO said, has been conducting a lifestyle audit on Waititu and has gathered crucial information that they are now using as the basis for ongoing investigations.
Her daughter was also interrogated over a huge amount of money deposited in her account for over 8 months.
The files on the governor, daughter, and other county staff are set to be taken to the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, with various recommendations.
