Harambee Stars to play in Spain before AFCON

After the friendly match against Gambia failing through the Football Kenya Federation has confirmed that the replacement clash pitting the Democratic Republic of Congo will be played June 15, 2019, in Madrid, Spain.

It will be a week after tackling Madagascar on June 7, in Paris.  the team held its third training session this week, on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the MISC Kasarani, as preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

Thursday’s session saw coach Sébastien Migné take 23 players, most of whom were named in the provisional squad for the upcoming Africa Nations Championships Qualifier against Burundi, through their paces.

Musa Mohammed, Masud Juma, and Cliffton Miheso, meanwhile,  are among foreign-based players who were involved in the session, which is part of preparations for a scheduled three-week camp in France, a precursor to the Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Egypt in June.

The AFCON bound team is set to jet out to Paris, France, on May 31, 2019, and has already been booked at the French Rugby Federation, Marcoussis Cedex where they will hold a 19-day residential camp before flying out to Cairo Egypt, on June 19, 2019, in time for the continental showpiece.
