A picture in which Kericho Senator Aron Cheruiyot was seen greeting Deputy President William Ruto while pocketing his left hand has come to haunt him politically.
Cheruiyot who has been at loggerheads with area governor Prof Paul Chepkwony now blames Chepkwony to be behind the scheme to have the photo go viral on social media.
The Senator is now finding it rough on the ground.
The race to succeed Chepkwony is on and also said to be on the race is for governorship is energy CS Charles Keter.
Chepkwony and Cheruiyot were among the leaders from Kericho who were received by Ruto and Keter at the DP’s official Karen residence.
As the picture started doing rounds online, the senator, a staunch supporter and defender of the DP, found himself the subject of discussion on various social media platforms especially in the South Rift region.
The second term senator was trolled online for allegedly being disrespectful to the DP.
