Ever met that one person in life that you fear so much to an extent that you never want to get to meet them face to face?
Well, such is the case of Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago and Opposition Chief Raila Odinga.
The Vocal Mandago has admitted that he is not yet ready to meet with Raila Odinga as he is afraid of him having spoke so badly of the former Prime Minister.
In the run up to the 2017 General Elections, Governor Mandago was among leaders that hurled insults at Raila Odinga
Mandago has said that should he be invited to Statehouse and find Raila there, he will not know what to tell the AU High Envoy for infrastructure and Development.
The Governor has however admitted that the 2017 Elections taught him not to take things to Personal and that Politics is not meant for the faint hearted.
“I spoke so bad about Raila Odinga last time but if I was to be invited to State House what will I tell him when I find him there? Politics is not for the weak,” Said Mandago.
He has pointed out that despite the fact that Raila Odinga and Uhuru were bitter enemies back in 2017 and a period after the elections, the two made up and are now working together to the shock of most of them.
“Tulipiga kura ya rais tukashinda, korti ikasema turudie nikazunguka kaunti 19 kuomba kura. Na ule mtu ametuhangaisha hapa ni Raila”.
“Handshake ikafika. Raila sasa ndio ako kwa bedroom State House. Sasa wewe, bado unajiweka pressure ya siasa ya nini? Hi siasa achana nayo. Hata mimi nimeinua mikono.”.
The Governor concluded by saying that since nobody saw the Handshake Coming, it must have been God’s plan and as such, nobody should talk ill about it.
