“Your prayers  give me strength” Wahu’s open letter to mother

Celebrated Musician Wahu Kagwi has today penned down a sweet message to thank her mother for being a special person in her life.

Wahu also shared the childhood memories that she still holds on to years down the line.

The Singer says that her mother has always been a prayerful woman and she attributes her strength to the mother’s prayers.

“My mummy 🥰
I remember her early morning prayers when i was a kid…she’d go to the sitting room (so as not to wake the ol man) at 4-5am and pray for each one of her 5 children by name.
And she’s never stopped….whenever she’s at my house visiting, I still hear her praying from her room, calling each of her kids and their families… She’s some kind of special my mom.
Mahoya maku nìmo maheaga hinya. (Your prayers give me strength)
Ngwendete mūno makíria. (I love you loads!) Every day is mothers day. Celebrate your mothers, mother figures, and the men that fill that shift!’ she wrote in her post

Her message comes timely during the mother’s day celebration  and she also shared how they spent their day with her daughters and mother to celebrate the big day.

Her advise to fellow mothers is that they should learn to celebrate themselves a whole lot more.

“We arent perfect, but we are doing our very best….and that’s all that counts. Remember many of the battles our children face or will face are won on our knees. ” she added
