Kambua asks fans not to vote her for groove awards

Kenyan Gospel Artiste Kambua has asked her fans not to vote her for the groove awards this year.

The ‘Nishikilie’ hitmaker bagged two nominations under the following categories; Digital/online personality of the year under Reflections with Kambua as well as Media Personality of the year

Kambua, however, says that this year, she will not ask for votes from her fans because she strongly feels the need to channel her energy elsewhere.

In an Instagram post, Kambua also thanked the groove awards team for the nomination adding that she does not take it for granted.

Kambua also thanked her fans for cheering her on and wished other nominees the best in the competitions.

This year’s  groove awards theme is: “Better Together.” The idea behind this theme is to focus on the message of unity in building better relationships, synergies and societies. It also encourages a spirit of togetherness and highlights how togetherness helps build powerful and stronger bonds.

2019 Groove award winners will be announced on 1st June 2019 at the Gala Awards ceremony in Nairobi.

Good morning! I would like to say “thank you” to #GrooveAwards for nominating me, and especially all of you who have been cheering me on. I don’t take any of it for granted. However, I will not be asking for your votes this year, I honestly feel the need to channel my energy elsewhere. Congratulations and Godspeed to all the nominees!
Have a fab day, and thank you for coming to my #TEDTalk 😛. Love always,
