Images of learners in Ganze constituency seated on concrete blocks inside a flooded classroom that were circulating on social media exposed poor learning conditions in the area in Kilifi county.

Kenyans on social media accused Governor Amason Kingi and area MP Teddy Mwambire of failing in their duties.

Addressing the press, Mwangororo Primary School PTA chairman Justus Mwagona lamented over the poor state of the institution. He said the flooding has paralysed learning in three classes.

MP Mwambire on the other hand said on his WhatsApp and Facebook platform that 35 other schools in the area are in a similar state, and that he has not received the 2018/19 NG-CDF allocation for development “because of mistakes committed by my predecessor”.

While the area MP is busy shifting blames on Social Media instead of offering solutions, Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa is out to help and paint a smile on the faces of the struggling pupils and school.

Yesterday saw Aisha visit Mangororo Primary school where she donated 50 desks, 100 bags of cement and 3oo pieces of iron sheets.

“This afternoon, I paid a courtesy call to Mangororo Pry Sch. on invitation of the area MP, Hon. Teddy Mwambire where I donated 50desks, 100bags of cement and 300pieces of iron sheets in aid of the school after photos of pupils sitting on bricks sub-merged in water went viral” tweeted Aisha Jumwa.

Well, it seems like area MP Teddy Mwambire is not sleeping on his job after all, at least he took it upon himself to seek for help from fellow MPs.
