A video of a police officer based at Burnt Forest Administration Police post in Eldoret who reported to work while drunk causing an accident during the morning incident has emerged online.
The officer could be seen sleeping inside the car completely drunk as reported by an online user on the scene.
“Why are police officers allowed to report to work while drunk. What if the accident was fatal? Whatever happened to police reforms?”
This is the second incident in less than a week that an officer is caught on the wrong side of the law they are expected to protect.
This week, a prison warden was wrestled to the ground by fellow wardens as he tried to sneak drugs to the prisoners. Several rolls were recovered from the officer.
