Another day, another time for leaders to throng to Ruto’s Karen home for prayers or discussing matters of national eating.

Thursday was Embu’s turn to visit the Karen watering point, where everyone always comes out satisfied and singing Praises for the Deputy President.

Embu leaders led by Senator Njeru Ndwig, MPs and MCAs were in Karen early on Thursday morning.

Ruto did not disclose the agenda of the meeting but he chose to concentrate on the role that MCAs play in government.

“MCAs should promote public participation; a consultative decision-making process and align their programmes with those of the national government to ensure the success of devolution.” He said.

Ruto was in Embu County on Sunday for the homecoming ceremony of Manyatta MP John Muchiri. Almost all leaders from the region including Speaker Justin Muturi attended the meeting.

There have been silent murmurs that the Mt. Kenya region is looking for a different Political route away from the DP. But the latest developments speak otherwise.

On Wednesday, the DP held a prayer meeting with Laikipia county meetings at the same venue. The leaders were led by fierce Women Rep Cate Waruguru.

Waruguru is one of Ruto’s key defenders and at one time threatened to strip naked if the opposition continues to attack Ruto.

The DP has continued to hold Prayer meetings in churches on Sundays and during weekdays at his Karen home.

On Tuesday, he met members of the African Divine Church (ADC) who became the first religious group to launch a sacco.

Observes believe Ruto is planning to use the church as a crucial pillar of his 2022 campaigns.
