A disturbing photo of pupils sitting on bricks in a flooded classroom has emerged online sparking a lot of reactions from the social media users.
Thirsty for knowledge, the pupils of Mangororo Primary School in Ganze constituency, Kilifi county, turned up for their usual lessons only to find their class had been turned into a pool of dirty water.
Notably, the mud-walled classroom with its protruding rafters feebly holding the earth together had no chairs leaving the pupils with the option of sitting on their usual bricks as they watched scaringly and helplessly.
Further inquiries and verification of the photo revealed the school is also a polling station and very little has been done to improve its sorry state.
