Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has called to president Uhuru to ignore the deputy president William Ruto and concentrate on strengthening Odinga’s handshake.
Speaking on Tuesday morning, the youthful MP said that nothing has been done on the fight against corruption.
He termed the runaway corruption in the country as the resin why Uhuru will not realize his Big 4 Agenda, urging him to shelve the plan and concentrate on slaying the dragon.
He advised that Uhuru should take full advantage of his friendship with opposition leader Raila Odinga, adding that he has nothing to dear with Raila by his side.
“Uhuru sasa yuko na Raila, asiwe ha hofu yoyote. Watu washikwe na pesa zirudi (he has nothing to worry about with Raila next to him, let us see arrests and recoveries),” he said.
Babu further said that if Ruto fails to support the handshake they will impeach him.
“Asante kwa kuniamini lakini pia tunaweza kumuimpeach Ruto ili niwekwe hapo (thanks for believing in me, we can impeach Ruto to create space for me),” he said.
Over the Weekend Deputy President William Ruto defended Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu over Sh2.1 billion query by the Senate.
The Sh2.1 billion issue came to light last Thursday when the governor appeared before Senate County Public Accounts and Investments Committee to answer audit queries.
Among the activities funded by the Kiambu budget, according to the audit report, was allocations for coordination of State House functions, South Sudan peace, free primary education and payments of retired presidents.
Speaking at All Saints Catholic Church in Komothai, Githunguri,Dr Ruto said the audit queries in question should not be directed at Mr Waititu since they touched on national Government.
