The troubled Kenya Airways received State forgiveness after its loan of 24.2 Billion was written off.

Last month, the government secured a Sh20 billion to help KQ repay another loan it borrowed from African Export-Import Bank (Afrexim) two years ago.

But this has continued to elicit a mixture of reactions especially from the Helb defaulters.

According to helb defaulters their total debt accounts upto 7 Billion.

The Ministry of Education has made a number of measures to ensure the beneficiaries of the Helb get to pay. When CS Amina was the in Ministry of Education proposed arresting of Helb defaulters.

In the same spirit of KQ writing off, Helb defaulters also want the government to forgive them.
